The Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science is now accepting abstracts for electronic poster presentations at the 2017 Advanced Methods Conference: Pragmatic Trials. This is your opportunity to present your research;
it does not have to be a pragmatic trial to be considered. All research is welcome.

General Guidelines for Submission of Abstracts
-Posters will be selected that best exemplify the state of nursing science in the particular area in which the work was completed.
-Only abstracts derived from completed research will be accepted.
-Abstracts should clearly specify the contributions of the work to the current state of nursing science.
-
Abstracts are not required to be related to pragmatic trials.
-Membership in the Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science is
NOT
required.
Submission Fee
The cost for submitting abstracts is $50. There will be no additional fee for presentation of the abstract, however presenters will be expected to pay the conference registration fee. Information regarding the conference, including the conference registration fees, will be available on the Council website in the coming months. Each presenter will have 30 minutes to present their poster and answer questions. Information regarding the conference, including conference registration is available on the Council website at

Review and Selection
The 2017 Planning Committee will determine the final selection of abstracts based on scores and
recommendations from peer reviewers. Reviews will be completed based on submitter-identified
abstract categories.
Abstract Content
Title: A brief statement of the nature of the investigation or purpose of the project.
Authors: All authors and affiliations.
The following components must not exceed 250 words total.
Aims: The overall purpose, research question, or study hypothesis.
Methods: The study or project design and methods (sample, procedures, measures, and/or data
analysis). Please note that the study can be qualitative or quantitative in design.
Results: The study or project findings or products.
Conclusions: The overall impact of findings and relevance to nursing, healthcare or symptom sciences.
Submission Requirements
- Review your abstract and check for typographical and spelling errors and scientific sense before submitting the abstract. Once submitted, abstracts cannot be revised.
- Your name, address, email, and telephone information are used for various communications throughout the conference planning process. Please check that the information entered is accurate to ensure that communication about your poster will reach you in a timely manner.
- Each abstract submission will have one presenting author who must be present during the
poster sessions. Attending to your poster will not interfere with conference attendance. Exact
times that presenters are required to attend their posters will be posted as the conference
approaches.

Follow the abstract submission process provided on the website. You will be able to edit your abstract through May 1. After May 1, the abstract is considered final and will be reviewed based on the content provided.
